Everyone Eats is an innovative food relief program that leverages CARES Act funds to engage local restaurants in making to-go meals for anyone who has been impacted by the COVID-19 crisis due to unemployment, underemployment, homelessness, or other challenges.
The Vermont Farmers Food Center has served as a hub for Everyone Eats in the Rutland County area. VFFC distributed over 52000 meals from August through December of 2020.
As of December 31st, 2020 Everyone Eats is on pause while VFFC and statewide coordinators seek further funding and explore options to continue the program. We hope to be able to restart this program in the future and continue to provide support to our community.
In the meantime, we are extremely thankful for everyone who helped make Everyone Eats a success in the Rutland area.
